Kentucky receives national sorghum checkoff dollars for research

4.15.10 - KySGGA was recently approved to receive about $3,100 from the United Sorghum Checkoff Program and plans to fund agronomy research in Kentucky. Specifically, the money will fund a project conducted by the University of Kentucky to study nitrogen application rates and application timing on sorghum grown in Kentucky. The national sorghum checkoff was established in 2008.
