Applicants were required to be Kentucky residents and pursuing an agriculture or related field at any accredited college, university or trade school.

Read about the recipients below and why they were chosen. We wish both of these students all the best and are honored to assist in their educational endeavors.

Miranda Cornett, of London, KY, is graduating from North Laurel High School and will start her Agriculture Economics studies at Somerset Community College. She plans to continue being part of and growing her family's farm market, Cornett Farm Fresh. The committee appreciated Miranda’s entrepreneurial spirit and her vision to better utilize her operation’s #2 produce to benefit her local community.

Riley Hudnall, of Bowling Green, is studying agricultural business at Murray State University, and her goal is to work with and educate other agriculturalists like herself. The committee appreciated Riley’s financial independence, her willingness to take risks with her own cropping enterprise, and her vision of creating Ag Field Trips to help educate within her local school system.
