KATS TRAININGS 2026

February 26, 2026: Pattern Testing for Drone Applicators (Princeton, KY)

The latest research on optimizing spray applications and an opportunity for applicators to test their own spray drone using technology provided by UK. An intensive workshop to prepare candidates for the FAA's part 107 Drone Pilot Certification exam. Click here for full information and registration. 

May 28, 2026: Crop Scouting Workshop (Princeton, KY)

Training is comprised of individual scouting sessions in the areas of disease, growth staging, weed identification, and soil nutrition. This is a beneficial workshop for new and experienced producers, agriculture interns as well as a great refresher for others.

July 23, 2026: KY High School Crop Scouting Competition (Princeton, KY)

Teams of 4-6 students will compete in hands-on, interactive field scouting exercises related to corn, soybean and tobacco rotating through various stations.

August 27, 2026: Pest Management Workshop (Princeton, KY)

A hands-on in field workshop where topics will included the latest research on corn and soybean diseases and more.

TBD: Drone Pilot Certification Prep Class (Madisonville, KY)

An intensive workshop to prepare candidates for the FAA's part 107 Drone Pilot Certification Exam.

TBD: Soil Properties Workshop 

We will examine soil pits with distinctly different profile properties to discuss how they will influence water and nutrient retention and delivery.
